Another example of a 2° structure based on data from high-resolution 3-D models from the online gallery at GA Tech. This example comes from the thermophilic bacteria, Thermus thermophilus. This bacteria can survive at high temperatures, with optimal growth at about 65 °C (149 °F). Credit: GA Tech
